Kenneth Norman March
Kenneth Norman March passed away on July 12, 2021 at the age of 75 in Portland, ME. In true East Coast fashion, Kenny battled until the end. As he always said, “it’s tough being a 10!”

Kenny was born on July 27, 1945, in Lynn, MA, and was the son of the late Harry March and Mary McLernon.
In construction for most of his life, he was a marathon runner, an art collector, weather junkie, live music fanatic, and lover of the Atlantic Ocean, Red Sox, and Celtics; he was also an avid skier, enjoying some of the best times of his life at Tuckerman Ravine and Sugarloaf, where he met the love of his life, Deborah Gott.
Kenny and Deb were married slopeside at “the Loaf” in 1990 and have been inseparable ever since. They moved into their dream home in Biddeford Pool, ME in 2011, splitting their time between ocean sunsets and chasing kids, grandkids, and powder turns in Park City, UT, all the while pinching themselves each day for their good fortune. Kenny was the epitome of a Sugarloafer, a “Maine-iac” and lover of the free western spirit, yet he loved Maine the most.
They started their own antique design business, Interiors with Provenance, and travelled the world chasing textiles in Turkey, turquoise in Santa Fe, mountain adventures in Ladakh, India, rainforests in Costa Rica, and mystical moments in the Andes of Peru. Their thirst for life and pursuit of adventure together created the most special bond imaginable.
Kenny’s love of family was paramount and guided the last years of his life. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Deb Gott; son Dave March, his wife Summer, and children Harper and Julian; son Pete March, his wife Kim, and children Eli and Jack Kenneth; stepdaughter Carrie Gott, her husband Jim, and children Sadie, Maya, and Aidan; stepson Jake Gott, his wife Sara, and children Zoe and Rowan.
Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Maine Medical Center and Northern Light Homecare in Portland, ME, New England Cancer Specialists in Scarborough, ME, Biddeford Fire Department EMTs, Highland Primary Care in Newburyport, MA, and Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT who provided invaluable care to Kenny for many years.
Kenny will be honored in a celebration of life on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at The Atlantic Hall in Cape Porpoise, ME.
In lieu of flowers, condolences may be made to The Snell Foundation in Scarborough, ME, an organization whose mission is to assist cancer patients at New England Cancer Specialists with financial needs that arise during their cancer journey.
